What is Griseofulvin?

Griseofulvin is an antibiotics which is extracted from the cultivation of the fermented liquid of the Penicilli - um griseofulvum .

White or almost white powder; melting point : 218-224°C; Soluble in tetrachloroethane, , very slightly soluble in water. Odourless or almost odourless, taste bitter, on the thermal stability.

Function

1. Griseofulvin has inhibitory effect on various dermatophytes, including dermatophytes, dermatophytes and microsporidia. It is not effective against ringworm, white beetle and bacteria. It acts as a fungal inhibitor and is effective against fungi that grow vigorously. It is used for tinea capitis, tinea nail, tinea diadem, tinea pedis and tinea corporis caused by sensitive fungi.

2. Griseofulvin has an inhibitory effect on all kinds of ringworm and is effective against fungi that grow vigorously. It is suitable for the treatment of various ringworm diseases, including ringworm of the head, beard, body, femur, foot and nail.

 

Application

Griseofulvin has inhibitory effect to psoriasis skin fungus, Contains a list of the skin ringworm fungi genera, ringworm fungi genera and microspore bacteria. Of tinea versicolor bacterium, white beads bacterium and bacteria is invalid. This product on bacteriostasis, effective for vigorous growth of fungi.
