Moxifloxacin hydrochloride is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic drug developed by Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Germany. The mechanism of action and in vitro antibacterial spectrum are similar to other fluoroquinolones, but the antibacterial activity against gram-positive and anaerobic bacteria is similar to that of trovafloxacin (trovafloxacin) and superior to some older species. Few Gram-positive bacteria were resistant to this product or resistance developed very slowly compared to other fluoroquinolones, and cross-resistant bacteria were found in Gram-negative bacteria and enterococci compared to other fluoroquinolones. However, this product is at least effective against Staphylococcus aureus isolate beads grlA, grlB, gyrA or gyrB. This product 0.5-2mg/L can inhibit ciprofloxacin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, which are ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, levofloxacin, sparfloxacin and moxifloxacin in order of MIC from largest to smallest.
